LOGEbat – Virtual Battery
The result is a modelling tool based on chemical knowledge that can be used to derive optimised operating strategies. LOGEbat provides a comprehensive and meticulous examination of the safety and ageing of battery cells. The system provides a prediction of capacity loss and battery safety, with electrode aging being a key factor in the calculation. LOGEbat is able to derive the most efficient operating conditions and identify those that are critical.

Pseudo-2D model:
Solid material (positive and negative electrode) is modelled with particles. The particles are symmetrical and have the same radius Rp. A diffusion model takes into account the availability of active material on the surface.
The following parameters can be analysed with LOGEbat:
- Cell temperature
- Cell potential (SOC)
- Voltage, current and capacity
- Internal resistance
- Charging time
- Decrease in the available cell capacity and cyclical performance of the battery cell
